Western Bratwurst with Oven-Baked Wedges 🤠🌭 – High Noon Dinner

Papasita Dad-Food (PDF Series)

Some duels are won with a pistol. Dad wins his with a grill pan.

Welcome to High Noon Dinner: crispy bratwurst, oven-baked western potato wedges, and a fresh tomato-onion salad on the side. No fuss. Just draw, duel, empty plate.

🤠 Why This Recipe Works

  • Oven-baked wedges = crispy without the deep-fryer chaos
  • Bratwurst = everyone eats, no negotiations
  • Tomato + onion = fresh counterpart to all that fat
  • One tray, one pan = barely any dishes

This is weeknight cooking with western attitude.

👨‍🍳 Dad Execution Plan

1️⃣ Wedges go in first

Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
Toss potato wedges with oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt and pepper.
Spread on a baking tray, skin side down.
Bake 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.

Reinforcements incoming.

2️⃣ Bratwurst hits the pan

Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
Add bratwurst, turning occasionally, until browned all over and cooked through (about 12–15 minutes).

Draw.

3️⃣ Build the salad

Slice tomatoes and onion.
Toss with olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper.
Add parsley if using.

The sidekick arrives.

4️⃣ Combine & serve

Plate the wedges, bratwurst and salad together.
Serve hot, straight from the tray.

High noon. Dad wins the duel.

🤠 Dad-Food Duel Logic

Crispy wedges = win
Juicy bratwurst = win
Fresh salad = the town’s approval

Conclusion: nobody leaves hungry. This town wasn’t big enough for two dinners anyway.
